Michelle Brunet is a freelance writer based in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has had the pleasure of contributing to various publications and websites, including Celtic Life International, Halifax Magazine, The Coast, Bedford Magazine, Resources Quarterly, Atlantic Books Today, up! magazine and My Destination Nova Scotia. She’s also been able to foster relationships with wonderful clients around the world, including Ireland and Washington state.
Michelle has a BSc in Environmental Studies/Biology (Saint Mary’s University, 2001) and a BEd (Lakehead University, 2006).
Prior to 2010, when she made the decision to write full time (her true passion), Michelle spent her time teaching in Halifax and South Korea, waitressing and farming in Ontario, camp counselling in Hong Kong and working/volunteering in a plethora of other positions (her resume is a nightmare!)
Currently, Michelle also volunteers her time as interim editor at Arts East, a website dedicated to promoting the arts, in all its forms, across Atlantic Canada.
