This 25 year-old home in Portland Hills, Dartmouth was in need of modernization. The small, dark, dated kitchen was converted into a completely integrated kitchen, dining and living space. A dividing wall was removed and electrical and ventilation relocated. LED pot-lights, under-cabinet and pendant lights on dimmers were installed. New vinyl tile floring (from Taylor Flooring) provides warmth and comfort with the look of ceramic. New windows allow more light while conserving energy. Modern white/gray cabinets, glass doors, glass tiled backsplash, built-in wall
oven and microwave, quartz countertops and a butcher block section for prep combine to make a stylish yet functional kitchen.
