This client wanted a home office that provided efficiency of storage and work space, offered unique, opulent features and reflected his personality. The design began with his love of the natural slab of African Babinga wood which would be used for the desk top, and floating shelves, complete with the rough bark edge. It was matched with rustic knotty cherry for the cabinet doors, featuring special glass doors with a tree branch style for the storage cabinet. Open glass shelves with recessed lighting highlight some artifacts that reflect the Client’s interests. Pull out shelves were designed for printers, and the hardwood floor was refinished in a cherry tone to match the décor.
